Lauren Alaina quickly became a favorite among American Idol Season Ten's list of competitors unique in her looks and known for her love of God. Born and raised in Rossville Georgia Lauren tapped into her talent of singing when her cousin got diagnosed with a brain tumor and encouraged Lauren to follow her singing dreams. Scotty was her very first fan in American Idol. Their Christian heritage in the country genre, and their mutual respect were similar.
